FAQ:Fundraiser

Please reach us at cmccarthy@wrfpd.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Proceeds benefit the Wilderness Ranch Firefighters Association, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting firefighter training, equipment, PPE, preparedness education, public outreach, and community support initiatives.

That's a fair question.

The READY! Preparedness Event & Fundraiser benefits the Wilderness Ranch Firefighters Association, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports firefighters, firefighter families, equipment needs, public education, fire prevention efforts, preparedness programs, and other initiatives that help strengthen emergency services in our community.

While property taxes help fund the operations of the Wilderness Ranch Fire Protection District, the Firefighters Association raises additional funds that can be used to support firefighter equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), training, retention and morale, public education, community preparedness efforts, and other needs that directly benefit both firefighters and the community they serve.

The Association's mission is to help support firefighters and improve fire prevention, preparedness, and public education efforts throughout the community.

Every raffle ticket purchased, auction bid placed, sponsorship secured, and donation made helps support those efforts.

Thank you for supporting local nonprofit firefighters and community preparedness efforts. Even if you can't attend the event, there are several ways to help:

  • Make a direct donation to the Wilderness Ranch Firefighters Association
    • Send checks to: Wilderness Ranch Firefighters Association, 421 Rimview Drive, Boise, ID 83716
    • Donate online: [See PayPal Button in the Donations Section]
  • Donate a raffle or silent auction item
  • Become an event sponsor
  • Volunteer your time
  • Help spread the word about the event

Because the Wilderness Ranch Firefighters Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.
